Construction update: RottaNova keeps growing

If you pass the RottaNova site regularly, you’ll see the project change almost every week. The tower is taking shape and the size of the building is now really visible in the heart of Rotterdam.

Over the past period, a lot of work has gone into building up the floors and façades. The distinctive window frames are now in place in several spots too, giving RottaNova more and more of its recognisable look. Step by step, you can see how this new landmark will become part of the Rotterdam skyline.

Going up

Over the coming months the focus stays on the structural work. That means the building keeps rising, with work in full swing on floors, façades and the rest of the tower. The pace is high and progress can now be followed from far away.

With every new floor, not only does the building grow, but the picture of what living here will be like becomes clearer too. The unique location between the Markthal, the Laurenskerk and everything the city centre has to offer underlines RottaNova’s special position in the heart of Rotterdam.

On to the next phase

Once the structural work is done, attention gradually shifts to the fit-out. That is when work starts on the building services and the further finishing of the building, among other things.

For now, work on RottaNova’s foundations is still in full swing. A phase in which the scale, height and look of the project come into their own a little more every day.
